About Leanne...

I believe that I was created to work with children. I have spent my entire life and career spending time with and learning from kids. I am an expert on the spiritual lives of children and write, consult, mentor and teach groups and organizations to meet the needs of the children they work with.

This world has become a difficult place for kids! They face divorce, bullying, school shootings, social media issues, death of loved ones, deployment of a parent and the list could go on and on. We need to help kids learn to cope, heal and navigate this world. I am here to help.

I graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio where I received my B.A. and I earned both my M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from United Theological Seminary. My doctoral work focused on designing a model of healing for children.

I am an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church and was the founder of a non-profit, First Steps Spirituality Center. Now, I am available to help your and your organization help kids.

I currently work at Christ Church UM, Louisville KY, with our ministries for children and teens, ages 0-18years.

I travel nationally and internationally leading retreats, workshops and training events and consulting with various organizations such as schools, hospitals, funeral homes, malls, churches, hospices and wherever there is a need to understand how kids think and how we can best help them thrive and grow into the people God has created them to be.
